Larnaca Marina inaugurated
CYPRUS: The Larnaca marina and port project – which, with a budget of €1.2 billion will be the largest ever infrastructure investment on the island – has been inaugurated by President Nicos Anastasiades. Work on the site began in early April. Mr Anastasiades said the project represents “an historic milestone” for the country.
The Israeli-Cypriot consortium, which won the Larnaca Marina tender in 2020, aims to create a 600-berth marina for vessels up to 115m (377ft) in length. The first phase of the whole project will take around five years.
