D-Marin wins tender for Camille Rayon
FRANCE: D-Marin has entered the French marina market by becoming the new operator of the famous Camille Rayon marina in the heart of the Côte d’Azur. The Vallauris Golfe-Juan municipal council approved the company as the concessionaire for the redevelopment and operation of the marina.
Strategically positioned on the Mediterranean coast, Camille Rayon has 841 berths and caters for all boat sizes, from 6m (20ft) to 75m (246ft). Built in 1989, it is perfectly sheltered and in close proximity to a wealth of destinations and attractions.
D-Marin plans a significant €52 million investment in the marina and its facilities over the next 25 years and aims to equip Camille Rayon with digital systems. The architect Rudy Ricciotti, Bouygues Construction and design office Arcadis have been contracted to undertake the marina renovation. Shipyard operations will be managed by leading superyacht refit, repair and maintenance company MB92.
“Welcoming Camille Rayon marks another milestone for D-Marin as our first marina in France,” said Corinne Reynaud, D-Marin CFO and president D-Marin France. “We are thrilled by the decision from the elected officials within the municipal council. It’s paramount for us to establish our proven approach to the environment, sustainability and governance and work in partnership with the local community and stakeholders. This opens a new page in the history of Camille Rayon marina.”
Kevin Luciano, mayor of Vallauris Golfe-Juan, vice president of the Sophia Antipolis Agglomeration Community and departmental councillor of the Alpes-Maritimes, described the marina as entering a new era, and anticipated Rudy Ricciotti, a world-renowned architect, transforming the marina into a work of art. “This programme will strengthen the attractiveness of the port but also the international influence of Vallauris Golfe-Juan,” he added.
