City green lights marina rebuild
USA: The City of Clearwater has given approval for a complete $43.5 million rebuild of Clearwater Beach Marina, Clearwater, Florida. The construction project is being managed by Kokolakis Contracting with Moffatt and Nichol as lead engineer.
Scheduled to start next month (October), the first of two phases will begin with complete demolition and rebuild of the west side of the marina. Project goals include replacing all the aging docks and all utilities pedestals. The slip mix will be reconfigured for optimal mix but the 165 slip count will remain unchanged. All commercial operations will remain in place during construction.
Completion is scheduled for April 2026.
