BVI: Mainstay endorses Nanny Cay expansion plans
Tortola-based Mainstay Consulting Group is playing a major part in the ambitious potential expansion plan for Nanny Cay Marina and Resort in the Caribbean. The expansion includes the introduction of a third marina facility which would add over 2,000m of dockage.
One of the company’s key focuses in assisting with the strategic development plan was on assessing the overall layout of the new marina. This involved examining the proposed berth configurations, navigational considerations, and the integration of the new facility with the existing marina structures. The aim was to ensure that the expansion not only meets operational efficiency but also enhances the overall aesthetic and functionality of the marina.
The review also included a thorough evaluation of the access points, both from sea and land, and the infrastructure support, considering the marina’s capacity to accommodate increased traffic and the provision of essential services to marina users.
This included projecting the utility demands of the expanded marina, e.g. water, electricity and waste management needs, to ensure that the plans are sustainable and meet environmental standards. Feasibility was evaluated with a view to supporting over 100 new berths.
After aligning the review with current market analysis and projected market trends, the Mainstay team concluded the Nanny Cay Marina has a well thought out expansion plan that aligns with market needs and operational best practices.
