THE MEDIA VOICE OF THE GLOBAL MARINA INDUSTRY

GREECE: A safety ambassador for Hellenic marinas

Marina operator D-Marin has become safety ambassador for the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA). The announcement was celebrated on the Greek National Day for the Prevention of Sea Accidents and Drownings in July at a training session at Zea Marina.

Areti Priovolou, health, safety and environment officer at D-Marin, said: “Safety at sea is an important part of our commitment to create a safe working environment and leisure facilities in alignment with our robust ESG strategy and Health and Safety policy. We’re delighted to have extended our commitment in Greece to become an ambassador with HELMEPA.”
Zea Marina assistant manager, Konstantina Leontsini, received the safety ambassador certificate from Constantinos Triantafillou, HELMEPA head of strategy and development, and commented: “It was a great event to mark all the hard work we put into the training and achieving the ambassadorship. I was delighted to receive the certificate from HELMEPA which is proudly on display at our marina and will continue to encourage all to think about safety in and around Zea Marina and the wider network.”
D-Marin aims to enhance the safety training across all of its 20 marinas, extending the importance of its commitment to safety regulations and instruction across its entire network.
