USA: Forging ahead with Adelaide Pointe
One of the largest building projects on the west side of Muskegon Lake, Michigan is now underway after over a year of groundwork and planning.
The Adelaide Pointe marina development, designed in partnership with the City of Muskegon to become an ecologically sensitive waterfront community, is the vision of Ryan and Emily Leestma.

GREECE: A safety ambassador for Hellenic marinas
Marina operator D-Marin has become safety ambassador for the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA). The announcement was celebrated on the Greek National Day for the Prevention of Sea Accidents and Drownings in July at a training session at Zea Marina.

PORTUGAL: Don’t miss IWMC 2023
Don’t forget to register for the 2023 ICOMIA World Marinas Conference (IWMC) and marina exhibition, to be held in Vilamoura, Algarve from 9th-11th October.
The event, which moves to a different country every two years, is a fist-time visitor to Portugal and will be hosted by the Portuguese Association of Ports and Marinas (APPR).

CANADA: Government grants for Three Rivers
The town of Three Rivers in eastern Prince Edward Island is to receive over $250,000 in government grants to support trail and marina improvements in Montague.
The funds from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) will be used to enhance the waterfront with fuel station upgrades and new floating docks so as to attract more boat traffic and visitors and boost local businesses.

USA: Blue Water buys two Delaware marinas
Maryland-based hospitality expert Blue Water has acquired Dewey Beach Yacht Club and Rehoboth Bay Marina in Delaware and is already hard at work enhancing each site.
Dewey Beach Yacht Club has floating docks, boat lifts, brand new dry racks and various accommodation options. With 120 wet slips, it caters to vessels up to 30ft (9m). All slips are available on a first come first served basis and are expected to lease up quickly given the limited availability of boat slips in southern Delaware.

DOMINICA: Government progresses Cabrits plan
In his budget announcement on 25th July, Minister for Finance Dr Irving MacIntyre confirmed that feasibility, environmental studies and designs have been completed for a marina at Cabrits, Portsmouth on the island’s northwest coast.
Construction of the Cabrits marina, which the government describes as the first in Dominica, is scheduled to start in November and could open in 2024. The facility will feature dedicated slips for vessels up to 60ft (18m) and flexible spacing for berthing superyachts. A repair yard, Customs and administration buildings, fuel dock and commercial spaces complete the plan.

AUSTRALIA: The Dock opens at The Boat Works
The Longhurst family, owners of The Boat Works in Coomera, Queensland, progresses with stage five of its major marine expansion plans by opening a new yacht sales precinct called The Dock.
The Dock comprises state-of-the-art office space as new headquarters for leading yachting brands, including R Marine Jones, dealers for Riviera motor yachts, Alexander Marine and The Yacht Sales Co.

USA: TPG to manage Epum marinas
TPG Hotels & Resorts and its marina management affiliate TPG Marinas has been contracted to manage six east coast marinas for private commercial property developer Epum Holdings.
The marinas in the portfolio comprise five marinas in Connecticut: Old Harbor Marina, Clinton; Mystic Point, Mystic; Spicer’s Marina, Groton; Noank Shipyard, Groton; Glastonbury Marina, Glastonbury; and Sunset Harbor in Essex, Maryland.

USA: Suntex buys
Missouri marina
Suntex Marina Investors has further expanded into the central US region with the acquisition of Port of Kimberling Marina in Kimberling City, Missouri.
The marina comprises 1,000 wet and 400 dry slips in the southern Missouri/northern Arkansas markets near the popular tourist destination of Branson. Amenities include fuel, a ship’s store, boat club and rentals, resort accommodation and houseboat rentals.
