THE MEDIA VOICE OF THE GLOBAL MARINA INDUSTRY

USA: Oklahoma marina completes major upgrade

A complete overhaul of Nine Marina in Eufaula has been finalised. Owner Jake Nossaman turned to Marine Development Inc for the work, which comprised a complex balance of new construction and expansion.

Nossaman’s goal was not only to expand the marina’s usable space but to create a welcoming destination, inviting for boaters, residents and visitors who enjoy lakeside amenities.

The project included the construction of a ship store and fuel dock, and expansion of the marina by 34 covered slips. The store platform is 100 x 100ft (30 x 30m) and, in addition to the store, includes a cantina, toilets and double courtesy slips for easy access for patrons. The large fuel dock offers area boaters exceptional convenience while the eight double slips reduce waiting times. The piers are extra wide for comfort and safety, and the fuel dock incorporates a storage platform.

“It was a pleasure working with Mick and his team at MDI,” said Nossaman. “We were able to set up weekly communication calls so I always knew where we were throughout the manufacturing process and what would be coming next. MDI met every timeline, and we worked through every fine detail together to produce an exceptional product. They delivered as promised, on time and on budget and we are very proud of the end result.”
